Sydney Chambliss

Sydney (Chandler) Chambliss is a native of Silverhill, Alabama, and a 2014 graduate of Bayside Academy, where she helped lead the Admirals to five consecutive state championships. During her high school career, she was a four-time State All-Tournament Team selection, two-time State Tournament MVP, and four-time First Team All-State selection. She was also named the 2013 MaxPreps Small School National Player of the Year and finished her career as the NFHS national record-holder with 6,365 career assists.

Sydney continued her volleyball career at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, where she played for four years. During her collegiate career, she was named to the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll four times and was a three-time Mississippi College Wright & Ferguson Athlete of the Week recipient.

Sydney began her coaching career while in college, spending four years coaching at Infinity Volleyball Academy in Flowood, Mississippi. After graduating and returning home to the Eastern Shore, she joined Eastern Shore Volleyball Club in 2019. Since then, she has coached athletes at the 13s, 14s, 16s, and 18s levels, as well as ESVC’s grassroots program, giving her experience working with players from their introduction to the game through the final years of their club careers.

As a former setter, Sydney brings a strong emphasis on court awareness, communication, leadership, and volleyball IQ. She enjoys helping athletes grow in their understanding of the game while building confidence, competitiveness, and a love for volleyball.
