Choosing a volleyball club is about more than finding a place to practice. It is about finding a community where athletes are challenged, supported, encouraged, and developed.
At Eastern Shore Volleyball Club, we believe volleyball is more than just a game. We use the sport to develop athletes who work hard, believe in themselves and one another, embrace challenges, and grow in confidence, character, and leadership.
Hustle is our habit. Belief is our foundation.
-
Eastern Shore Volleyball Club is a competitive volleyball program serving athletes throughout Baldwin County and the surrounding Eastern Shore community.
Since 2004, our goal has been to develop volleyball players while making a lasting impact on the young women who come through our program. We are committed to helping athletes grow technically, physically, mentally, and personally.
We want every athlete to leave ESVC not only as a better volleyball player, but as a better teammate, competitor, leader, and person.
-
We believe our responsibility goes beyond teaching volleyball.
Of course, we want our athletes to become skilled, confident, and competitive volleyball players. But we also want them to learn how to work hard when things are difficult, respond to adversity, encourage others, accept coaching, take responsibility, and believe in what they are capable of becoming.
We believe the lessons learned through volleyball can last far beyond the final whistle.
Our mission is simple: More Than Just a Game.
-
We offer opportunities for athletes across a variety of ages and skill levels.
Our programs are designed to help athletes grow wherever they are in their volleyball journey—from those learning the fundamentals of the game to athletes preparing to compete at the highest levels of school and collegiate volleyball.
Our goal is not to put every athlete on the same path. Our goal is to help each athlete take the next step in theirs.
-
No.
While some ESVC teams and programs are designed for experienced and highly competitive athletes, we also believe there should be a place for athletes who are still learning and developing.
If an athlete is willing to work, learn, listen, and grow, there is a place for her in our program.
You don't have to be the best player in the gym to belong. You just have to be willing to become better.
-
Our practices are intentional, challenging, and energetic.
Athletes can expect a combination of technical skill development, position-specific training, team systems, game-like competition, and physical development. We believe athletes improve through quality repetitions, purposeful coaching, and the opportunity to apply what they have learned.
We also expect athletes to bring the right mindset.
At ESVC, we expect our athletes to:
Work hard
Be coachable
Communicate
Encourage their teammates
Compete with purpose
Respond well to challenges
Never quit on themselves or their teamCollaborative, honest, and straightforward. We're here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.

Item descriptionParents play an important role in an athlete's experience.
We ask parents to support their athlete, encourage the team, respect the coaching process, and help create a positive environment for everyone involved.
The best thing a parent can do is allow coaches to coach, allow athletes to compete, and provide consistent encouragement throughout the journey.
Our athletes need people in their corner—not people who make every moment about winning.
-
Our club is competitive, and we want our athletes to compete at a high level.
But we believe competition and character should always go together.
We want to win. We want to improve. We want to challenge ourselves against the best competition available.
At the same time, we believe how an athlete competes matters just as much as the result. We want our athletes to play with confidence, humility, toughness, and respect.
We compete to win—but we develop athletes for life.
-
Playing time can vary based on the level of competition, the team's needs, the athlete's position, performance, effort, development, and other factors.
Our goal is to develop every athlete on the roster. Development does not always look the same for every player, and playing time may not always be equal.
We believe athletes grow through both opportunity and preparation. Every athlete is expected to continue working, improving, and being ready when her opportunity comes.
-
Teams are formed through an evaluation process that considers an athlete's current skill level, athletic ability, position, experience, potential, and the needs of each team.
Our goal is to create teams where athletes can compete, develop, and be challenged at the appropriate level.
We understand that team placement can be emotional. Our commitment is to make decisions thoughtfully and with the development of each athlete and the health of each team in mind.
-
School volleyball and club volleyball serve different purposes and can complement one another.
School volleyball provides an opportunity to represent your school and compete within your school community. Club volleyball provides additional training, competition, coaching, and opportunities to develop during the club season.
At ESVC, our goal is to help athletes become better volleyball players while also preparing them to contribute to their school teams and pursue their goals beyond high school.
-
Yes.
For athletes who desire to play volleyball at the collegiate level, we want to help them understand the process and prepare for the opportunities ahead.
This includes continued skill development, competitive experience, physical and mental preparation, and helping athletes understand what it means to pursue volleyball beyond high school.
However, we believe the goal of every athlete's experience should not simply be to earn a college roster spot.
The goal is to become the best version of yourself—and to be prepared for whatever opportunity comes next.
-
Club volleyball costs vary depending on the team, age group, tournament schedule, training schedule, uniforms, and other expenses associated with the season. While the cost of club sports has risen dramatically in recent years — ESVC is committed to providing excellent training and development at an approachable price that honors both the family and the club.
We are committed to communicating costs clearly and helping families understand what is included before making a commitment.
Specific costs and payment information will be provided during the registration and team selection process.
-
This varies by team and season, but may include items such as:
Coaching
Gym and training facilities
Practices
Tournament registration
Club administration
Team expenses
Membership and insurance fees
Uniform packages or apparel, depending on the program
A detailed breakdown will be provided for each team and program.
-
We understand that club volleyball is a significant commitment for many families.
If financial assistance or payment options are available for a particular season or program, information will be provided during registration.
We encourage families to communicate with us if they have questions. We want to make sure families understand the commitment before making a decision.
-
Athletes should come prepared to train.
We recommend bringing:
Volleyball shoes
Kneepads
Plenty of water
Appropriate athletic clothing
A positive attitude
A willingness to work
The most important thing an athlete brings to the gym is her mindset.
-
She will.
Every athlete will make mistakes. Every athlete will have bad practices, difficult games, and moments when she struggles.
That is part of development.
At ESVC, we do not expect athletes to be perfect. We expect them to respond. We believe mistakes are opportunities to learn, grow, and become better.
We don't ask our athletes to never fail. We ask them to never stop believing they can improve.
-
It means we believe volleyball is a vehicle for something bigger.
Through this sport, athletes learn discipline, perseverance, communication, teamwork, leadership, humility, confidence, and how to respond when things do not go their way.
The wins will be remembered.
But the character built along the way will last much longer.
That is why we believe our mission is:
More Than Just a Game.
Hustle is our habit. Belief is our foundation.
