Patsy Burke

While working at the UAB School of Medicine's Department of Family Medicine, Patsy became involved with volleyball as a statistician at Pelham High School.  When she retired from UAB volleyball and softball officiating became her "second career."  She has risen to the top as one of the state and nations most knowledgeable experts in both sports and one of their most devoted leaders. She has served on the rules committee of the National Federation of High Schools and as AHSAA State Rules Interpreter and State Camp Director for volleyball. Patsy has been the ESVC Club Director since 2017.  She is a USAV Junior National Official and has officiated high school volleyball for the past 28 years and was inducted into the Alabama High School Officials Hall of Fame in 2021. She is a past collegiate volleyball and softball official officiating in the SEC, C-USA, OVC, Gulf South, NAIA conferences.  Patsy served as the Club Director of the Birmingham Volleyball Club and Southern Region Board from 2000-2005. Patsy was recently elected to serve on the Gulf Coast Region Board.  She is dedicated to the training and teaching of volleyball to players, parents, and officials.
