Emily Hudson was born and raised in Southwest Louisiana, where she played volleyball for Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, earning All-District and All-State honors. After completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at LSU, she moved to south Alabama.

ESVC coaches took notice of Emily as she helped her daughters warm up for Grassroots games. After a little “subtle pressure” from Coach Patsy, Emily volunteered to herd the cats—also known as a group of 2nd and 3rd graders! This is her third year coaching Grassroots volleyball for ESVC.
